Non-directive play therapy making big changes to little lives.

With Registered Play Therapist Samantha Comiskey.

Play therapy is a theoretically proven form of therapy that can benefit a child's social and emotional development. Play therapy uses a non-directive approach, where the child leads the way using their first language, play. A child's play language can be indicative of the way they see the world and interpret it. It can be used to help build a child's self-esteem, sense of self-concept and build confidence, all while healing the wounds of trauma or support during times of difficulty, such as family separation.

Using qualified and experienced therapists, play therapy is conducted in a safe and supportive environment.

After 6 sessions, the therapist will arrange a time to catch up for a parental consultation where you will be informed of your child's progress and be provided with psychoeducational materials/support as required. A collective approach to your child's development is a beneficial one, for all parties involved.

Who Benefits.

As a non-directive form of therapy, all children with communication delays, social/emotional and behavioral developmental difficulties can benefit immensely. This form of therapy has been used historically to benefit ADHD, Autism, Anxiety and many more social/emotional complexities.
